Welcome to the Ozark National Forest located in Arkansas. The Ozark National Forest sprawls over 1.2 million acres of rugged terrain in western Arkansass and boasts scenic landmarks such as Blanchard Springs Caverns and the highest point in Arkansas, Mount Magazine. The Ozark National Forest was established by Presidential proclamation of President Theodore Roosevelt on March 6, 1908.
Flora and Fauna: This National Forest helps protect the habitat of numerous wild animals and over 500 species of plants. Some of the wild critters who call these forests home include alligators, bald eagles, bats, black bears, deer, and many others. Please treat their home with respect.
