Thunderbird Conservation Park

Welcome to Thunderbird Conservation Park located in Glendale, Arizona. The City first began to lease this land from the United States Government in 1951 and officially purchased it in 1956. The park was named for the nearby facility that trained pilots for combat during World War II. Today this park boasts over 15 miles of multipurpose trails and helps protect the habitat of mountain lions, skunks, raccoons, mule deer, kingsnakes, falcons, hawks, herons, hummingbirds, and many others. Come on out and explore!
