Welcome to the grand and beautiful South Mountain Park located outside of Phoenix, Arizona. This vast wilderness is one of the largest municipally manged parks in the United States and has over 50 miles of multipurpose trails and some elevations as high as 2,600 feet above sea level giving visitors great views of the region.
When visiting any park in Phoenix, Arizona please know the rules.
*Glass objects are forbidden in all parks.
*All sales require special permit.
*Please respect all park property including trees, flowers, benches, etc.
*All burning is resricted to picnic grills.
*All vehicles must stay in designated areas and obey all State of Arizona Traffic laws.
*The following activities are only allowed in designated areas; flying remote control aircraft, fishing, swimming, golfing.
*Tennis shoes must be worn on the tennis courts and the courts may only be used for their designated purpose.
*No littering. Please place all trash in trash cans.
