Welcome to Charles S. Farnsworth Park located in Altadena, California. This piece of land was named after a retured veteran General Charles Farnsworth, a man who was a big advocated for the park's establishment. In 1931 his voice was joined by that of Williams Davies, another local V.I.P who helped organize the construction of the park's community center. A woman with Davies's organization, successfully lobbied Washington D.C for federal funds to pay for the community center's construction. In 1939 the park was named for General Farnsworth and in 1943 the community center was named for William Davies. Today this park boasts two lighted basketball courts and two lighted tennis courts, allowing for night games, a playground for the kids, and much more. Come on out and have fun.
