Lopez Lake Recreation Area

Welcome to the beautiful Lopez Lake Recreation Area in Arroyo Grande, California. This beautiful lake boasts 22 miles of shoreline and has no limit on horsepower. The water remains a cool 70 degrees in the summer making it a great place to escape the summer heat. There are also miles of multipurpose trails waiting to be explore and over 150 species of birds makes it a great bird-watching destination.

*All parks open and close at specified hours.

*The following are prohibited; littering, defacing public property, alcoholic beverages, harming of wild animals, fireworks.

*Rock climbing requires special permit.

*The following are only allowed in designated areas; motor vehicles, bicycles, camping, swimming, fishing, windsurfing, horseback riding, skating.

*All dogs must be leashed and waste removed.

*All persons ages 6 and up must use the restroom of their designated sex.
