Bay Point Regional Shoreline

Welcome to Bay Point Regional Shoreline, a small saltwater and freshwater wetland oasis located in the heart of a residential, industrial, and military district in Bay Point, California.
Park History: Before the 19th century these lands were occupied by various Native American peoples. The last known tribe to live in the region was the Chupcan Tribe who resided on the south shore of Suisun Bay. In the mid 19th century this land was located between two Mexican land grants; the Monte del Diablo Grant to the south and west and the Los Medanos Grant to the east.
From the 1950s through the 1980s many settlers started building ponds and dredging sand on the lands. The East Bay Regional Park District purchased this land in 1996 in order to help protect and restore the marshes as well as provide residents with shoreline access. A generous donation from Royal Dutch Shell helped to purchase the land.
This park boasts a 1.1 mile trail, beautiful scenery, and so much more. Come on out and have a blast!
