Julia Pfeiffer Burns State Park
Welcome to California's beautiful Julia Pfeiffer Burns State Park. It is beautiful beyond words with redwood forests, towering cliffs, and an 80 foot waterfall that spills into the Pacific Ocean. This park is named for a well known woman from the Pioneer Days. Many people come here in December and January for whale watching opportunities as they head southward and in March and April as they head northward. Many bird-watchers also come here to see pelicans, peregine falcons, bald eagles, or even the occasional California Condor.
