Welcome to the great Quarry Lakes Regional Recreation Area located in Fremont, California. As the name implies this park was once the site of some operating quarries that date back to the mid-19th century. It wasn't until the late 20th century when the place finally started to transform into a park.

Aquatic activities: 74% of the park is water making this a great place for many aquatic activities. Gasoline powered watercraft are prohibited on the park's lakes but all non-gas powered watercraft are welcome. There are lifeguards at the park's swimming areas during swim season.
