California's beautiful Cuyamaca Rancho State Park helps protect a wilderness of meadows and pine and oak forest. This park boasts two family camps, Green Valley and Paso Picacho as well as over 100 miles of multipurpose trails just waiting to be explored. San Diego County's second highest peak, Cuyamaca Peak at 6,512 feet above sea level is inside the park boundaries. With over 100 species of birds this place attracts bird-watchers from many miles around.

Camping: Cuyamaca Rancho State Park boasts 81 campsites but sadly none of them have electrical hookups. Bathhouses are located nearby. Come out and stay a few nights.
