Santa Barbara County California Parks
The land that is today's beautiful Ocean Beach Park was first purchased by Santa Barbara County in 1913. Thus for more than a century it has served as a popular recreation area. Unfortunately, due to laws protecting threatened bird species, fishing is not allowed at this park and beach access is closed from March-September. It's location along the railroad tracks makes it a nice place for train watching. To reserve one of the facilities please call 805-568-2460.
This was RecPlanet place of the day on July 18, 2015.
