Brooks Island Regional park
Welcome to Brooks Island Regional Park located on the shores of the beautiful San Francisco Bay!
Park History: Long before the arrival of European settlers this land was occupied by the Ohlone Native American tribe for thousands of years. When European settlers began arriving much of the land was used for ranching and quarrying. Over time the land has been owned by many people and has had several names including Rocky Island, Isla de Carmen, Sheep Island, and Bird Island. In 1968, the East Bay Regional Park District acquired the land.
