Welcome to the California State Capitol in downtown Sacramento, Califormia. This park is not just "a California State Park" it is "the California State Park", because like all California State Parks it was made possible in downtown Sacramento, and this is about as downtown Sacramento as one can get. The State of California was first established in 1950 but it was not until 1869 that Sacramento became the Capitol.
