Southside Park

Welcome to Southside Park in Sacramento, California. All of the athletic courts at Southside Park are lighted.

Picnicking: Southside Park has 5 picnic areas. Area 1 has 3 tables but no grills, Area 2 has 14 tables and 1 grill, Area 3 has 4 tables and 1 grill, Area 4 has 11 tables and 2 grills, and Area 5 has a gazebo with 2 tables but no grills. Come out and bring some family and friends as well as some meats to grill.

Playground: The playground at Southside Park is called Universal Universe, an ADA accessible 16,800 square foot playground. Come out and bring the kids.

Sacramento California Park Ordinances

*Unless otherwise posted all parks open at dawn and close at dusk.

*The following are prohibited; alcoholic beverages (except during special occasions), defacing public property, harming wildlife, littering, weapons.

*The following are only allowed in designated areas; fires, golfing, horseback riding, motor vehicles, swimming.

*The following require special permits; camping, sales.

*Unless engaging in the care, custody, or supervision of a person younger than the ages of 18, all persons ages 18 and up are prohibited from being at the playgrounds.

*All dogs must be leashed (no longer than 6 feet) and waste removed.

*All users of the skate parks must wear helmet and pads.
