Welcome to Six Rivers National Forest located in northwest California not far from Redwood National Park

Forest History: On June 3, 1947, President Harry Truman merged parts of the Siskiyou and Trinity National Forests to create Six Rivers National Forest. The name Six Rivers comes from six major waterways located inside the forest boundaries, the Mad, Trinity, Van Duzen, Eel, Klamath, and Smith Rivers. The forest ranges in elevation from as low as sea level along the coast to as high as 7,000 feet up in the mountains.

For the lover of the outdoors Six Rivers National Forest boasts over 1,500 miles of streams, over 100 miles of trails, and so much more. Come on out and explore!
