Rock Park
Welcome to Rock Park in Castle Rock, Colorado. This park helps protect the very rock for which the City of Castle Rock got it's name and was acquired in stages from 1947 to 1991. A 19th century gold seeker named David Kellogg thought that the rock resembled a castle and thus named it Castle Rock. The hike is fairly challenging with a 370 foot elevation gain from top to bottom but the view makes all the exercise well worth it.
