Welcome to Colorado's Saint Vrain State Park located off of Interstate 25 south of Fort Collins and north of Denver. This beautiful park, once known as Barbour Ponds, helps protect the home of many birds and other wild animals including white pelicans, great egrets, bald eagles, mule deer, red foxes, mountain lions, moose, beavers, bullfrogs, garter snakes, and snapping turltes. Please treat their home with respect.
For the lover of the outdoors Saint Vrain State Park boasts great bird-watching opportunities, miles of multipurpose trails all of which are considered medium difficulty, 87 campsites (41 of which are electric only and the rest have both electricity and water), and much more. Come on out and explore Saint Vrain State Park.
The Bald Eagle Pond trail is open to foot and bicycle traffic and is one mile long and circumnavigates Bald Eagle Pond. Dogs are allowed on all trails but they must be leashed (no longer than six feet). The Muskrat Run Nature Trail has the same rules as the Bald Eagle Pond Tail but one will find some fishing piers along this trail as well as picnic shelters. The Coot Pond Trail is considered a quieter trail and boasts some amazing views of Long's Peak. Pelican Pond Trail has some beautiful cottonwood trees and is considered the best trail in the park for bird-watching.
The park has 87 campsites and 46 have both electricity and water. To contact the office please call 303-485-0186.
