Welcome to Gustav Swanson Natural Area located on the banks of the Cache la Poudre River in Fort Collins, Colorado. This park was first established on July 31, 1988 and named for a man who fought hard to protect the riverbanks in the region. Come out and explore the Poudre Trail.

Fort Collins Colorado Park Ordinances 

*Unless otherwise posted or unless one has obtained special permits, all parks open at 5:00 a.m. and close at 11:00 p.m.

*The following are only allowed in designated areas; bicycles, fires, golfing, motor vehicles, skating.

*The following are prohibited; alcoholic beverages (except at certain special events), defacing public property, glass objects, harming of wildlife, littering. 

*The following require special pemits; bonfires, campfires, camping, conducting group events, feeding of wildlife, operation of motorized watercrafts, planting new plants,
