McMurry Natural Area

Welcome to McMurry Natural Area located on the banks of the Cache la Poudre River in Fort Collins, Colorado. A grant from Great Outdoors Colorado helped the City of Fort Collins purchase this land. The two ponds contain over 20 species of fish. Come out for some great angling and bird-watching opportunities.

Fort Collins Colorado Park Ordinances

*Unless otherwise posted or unless one has obtained special permits, all parks open at 5:00 a.m. and close at 11:00 p.m.

*The following are only allowed in designated areas; bicycles, fires, golfing, motor vehicles, skating.

*The following are prohibited; alcoholic beverages (except at certain special events), defacing public property, glass objects, harming of wildlife, littering.

*The following require special pemits; bonfires, campfires, camping, conducting group events, feeding of wildlife, operation of motorized watercrafts, planting new plants,
