Welcome to what some people call the "Castle of the Plains," Bent's Old Fort National Historic Site located on the Arkansas River in La Junta, Colorado. This Adobe Style Architecture Fort was built in the 1840's as a Fur Trading Post along the Santa Fe Trail. Come out and learn some history.
