Welcome to Collyer Park located in Longmont, Colorado.

Park History: This was one of the three original parks in the Chicago-Colorado Colony and was named for Robert Collyer, the son of an English blacksmith who immigrated to Pennsylvania in 1850 to work as a Methodist preacher and hammer maker. He was a noted author and speaker who thought of the idea of establishing a temperance colony in Colorado but never moved there himself. Collyer Park was first established in 1871.

Today this park boasts a sand volleyball court, two tennis courts, restrooms, two reservable picnic shelters with grills, and a playground for the kids. Come on out and have fun.
