Founded in 1973, Longmont's Dawson Park was named for John Dawson, a man who once farmed in the region. Dawson Park borders McIntosh Lake and offers fabulous fishing. The two tennis courts and the sand volleyball court are lighted so people can play at night. The picnic area has grills.
