Jim Hamm Nature Preserve

Jim Hamm Nature Preserve is named in memory of USAF Captain Jim Hamm who was shot down in the skies of Vietnam in 1968. His family donated the land to the city of Longmont in 1974 and today the park is used as an important bird sanctuary for migratory birds as well as an educational center for local school students.
