Rothrock Dell Park is located in Longmont, Colorado next door to Rocky Mountain Elementary School along the Oligarchy Greenway. This park is named after two Longmont residents who became joined together by marriage. William Rothrock was born in the region in 1867 and grew up to be a famous horseman who eventually ended up running the family ranch until 1924. His father John Rothrock came out west during the gold rush but ultimately ended up as a farmer and rancher. He built Boulder County's first log cabin. Clara Agnes Dell, was the daughter of the man who opened the first hardware store in the valley, George Dell. In 1893 Rothrock and Dell tied the knot. Today this park named in their memory has a roller-hockey court, two basketball courts, a picnic area, and much more.  The athletic facilities have lights for night games. Come out and have fun!
