The land that is now Sandstone Ranch Park was once owned by Morse Coffin, a man who migrated to the region from Boon's County Illinois during the 1859 Gold Rush. The park's volleyball court is a sand court but it's not lighted, however four of the ball diamonds and two of the soccer fields are lighted.
