Welcome to Colorado's Jackson Lake State Park! Jackson Lake State Park has been referred to by Reserve America as one of the "Top 15 Park Beaches" in the nation. Author James Michener called this place "an oasis of the planes." Located in the town of Orchard in Morgan County, Jackson Lake State Park was established in 1965. Today it is considered one of the top destinations in the state for aquatic sports and fisherman come from all around to catch northern pike, rainbow trout, largemouth and smallmouth bass, and catfish. The park provides habitat for wild animals such as rabbits, deer, coyotes, eagles, pelicans, pheasants, and doves. Please treat their home with respect. For the lover of the outdoors there is a whole lake here and many miles of trails. Come on out and have an adventure.
