Pike National Forest

Welcome to the Pike National Forest located in the Colorado Rockies not far from the urban areas of Denver and Fort Collins in the counties of El Paso, Jefferson, Douglas, Teller, Park, and Clear Creek. Pike National Forest was first established in 1906. The landscapes of this forest include peaks towering over 14,000 feet ASL including Mount Democrat at 14,148 feet ASL, Mount Lincoln at 14,286 feet ASL, Mount Bross at 14,172 feet ASL, Mount Bierstadt at 14,060 feet ASL, Mount Evans at 14,264 feet ASL, and of course Pikes Peak, named after the same man for whom the forest was named, at 14,110 feet ASL. Pike National Forest also has over 73,000 acres of designated wilderness area.

Wildlife: The Pike National Forest helps protect the home of numerous wild critters including squirrels, deer, bears, coyotes, foxes, and bald eagles. Please treat their home with respect.
