Ridgway State Park
Welcome to the beautiful Ridgway State Park located on a reservoir high in the Colorado Rockies. The mountain scenery is absolutely breathtaking here.
Camping: There are over 250 campsites at Ridgeway State Park and most of them have electricity and water. All have restroom access. There are even several small little huts known as yurts where one can stay. They are heated in the winter and cooled in the summer.
Wildlife: With over 140 species of birds many birdwatchers from miles around flock here to have their fun. Some of the terrestrial wildlife include black bears, coyotes, bobcats, and mountain lions.
Trails: Come out and explore over 14 miles of multipurpose trails that are open to hikers and bikers but not equestrians.
Boating: The park is open to boats of all sizes and many people come here in the summer to do some rocky mountain (non-snow) skiing. There are often winds high enough to justify windsurfing.
