Welcome to Day Pond State Park located in Colchester, Connecticut. The land that is now Day Pond State Park was named for the Day Family, a pioneer family that once owned the land and actually built the pond. Many of the boulders that are seen on the park's trails were the result of glacial retreat at the end of the last ice age over 12,000 years ago. Today this park is a popular trout fishing destination and boasts hiking trails, and a swimming beach. Come on out and explore.
