Welcome to Connecticut's historic and beautiful Old Furnace State Park. As the name suggests this park is the site of an old furnace, more specifically one that operated in the 18th century and even helped make materials for the Continental Army in the Revolutionary War. In the 1830's the furnace was shut down and a grist mill was established.
