Kent Falls State Park

Activities:
Hiking

Welcome to Connecticut's Kent Falls State Park.

Park History: For the Native Americans this land was a popular fishing ground and they named it "Scatacook." When the first European settlers began to enter the region many mills were established along the river. In 1919 the State of Connecticut began to acquire parcels of land that eventually became Kent Falls State Park. These falls have their heaviest flow in the spring when the winter snow begins to melt and they have been featured in numerous advertisements.

For the lover of the outdoors Kent Falls State Park boasts a trail that goes up the falls, picnic tables, and much more. Come on out and have fun.
