Welcome to Connecticut's Rocky Neck State Park located on the Long Island Sound near East Lyme. Long before this park was ever established it's salt marsh wildlife resources were well known to both Native Americans and colonists. Some of these wildlife species include ospreys, blue herons, swans, mackerals, and flounders. Please treat their home with respect.  This beautiful piece of land was first purchased in the early 1930's but dedicated conservationists who raised the money and waited for the State Legislature to approve the purchase from them. Today this park offers the visitor white sandy beaches, hiking trails to some of the park's notable sites including Baker's Cave and Tony's Shipyard, 160 campsites, and much more.
