Welcome to Nipmuck State Forest & Bigelow Hollow State Park. This is the oldest State Forest in the State of Connecticut. The first parcel of land was purchased in 1905 and numerous additional parcels have been purchased since then to make a total area of over 9,000 acres. For the lover of the outdoors this forest and park boasts a boat launch, numerout hiking trails, and much more. Come on out and explore!
