Welcome to Connecticut's Black Rock State Park.

Park History: This beautiful park received it's name because this is a site where the Mohegan, Tunxis, and Paugussett Native American tribes mined stone in order to make their tools. In more recent years an organization of concerned citizens known as the Black Rock Forest, Incorporated helped to bring this land to State ownership in 1926. The Civilian Conservation Corps helped to build the park's amenities.

For the lover of the outdoors Black Rock State Park boasts hiking trails, campsites, and much more. Come on out and explore!
