Welcome to Alapocas Run State Park located on banks of Brandywine Creek in Wilmington, Delaware. The park's multipurpose fields can be rented out for organized athletic play at a rate of $10 an hour. The park's magnificent Blue Ball Barn was built by Alfred DuPont, a member of the historic and wealthy DuPont Family in 1914. There are also some great rock-climbing opportunities in this park and the 27,000 square foot can-do playground is accessible for kids of all abilities.

This was RecPlanet place of the day on March 21, 2016.
