Welcome to Lake Dorr Recreation Area located inside the Ocala National Forest on the shores of Lake Dorr off of Highway 19 in Altoona. As the founder of RecPlanet I can tell you about my personal experience here. My aunt and uncle used to own a house on Lake Dorr so this was the place where they would come to launch their boat and to have picnics. It's very beautiful and very fun and for me personally will always bring back memories of my Uncle Zeb (Zebulon Louis Osborne a great man!), may he rest in peace. Come on out and have fun.
