Welcome to F. Burton Smith Regional Park located on the shores of Lake Poinsett in Cocoa, Florida. This large community park helps protect a hardwood hammock and wetland wilderness that is not unusual to the south Florida region. Some of the wild animals that live in this wilderness include American alligators, white-tailed deer, wild turkeys, raccoons, alligator snapping turtles, grey squirrels, red-tailed hawks, ospreys, armadillos, and many others. For the recreational enthusiast this park offers awesome canoeing and kayaking opportunities, hiking trails, a volleyball court, and much more.
