Lafayette Hart Park

Fort Lauderdale, Florida

Welcome to Broward County's Lafayette Hart Park, what used to be known as Washington Park. A man named Lafayette Hart, a local African American community leader was one of the men who fought hard to make this land into a park. In 1989 Hart passed away and the park was renamed in memory of him in 1992. The full basketball court is lighted so people can continue to play after sunset.

To contact the park office please call 954-357-7970.
