Provident Park is a small Fort Lauderdale city park. It has a picnic area and a small grassy area.
Fort Lauderdale Park Rules
For your own safety and for the safety of those around you the City of Fort Lauderdale has passed some laws regulating the use of the parks.
*All parks may only be used during the hours of operation. It is a crime to remain in the park after posted hours.
*Fishing is allowed only in designated areas. All State of Florida fishing laws apply.
*The following require special permits, sales, solicitations, removal of plants, fireworks.
*All of the following are prohibited; littering, sleeping, alcoholic beverages, spearguns.
*With the exception of service dogs, animals are very restricted in Fort Lauderdale's Parks. On the Riverwalk, beaches, and in Snyder Park they are allowed with a leash no longer than 6 feet and all waste must be removed.
*All motor vehicles including boats must stay in designated areas.
*The following conditions make swimming a no go at the beaches; bad weather, improper attire (no shoes and no long pants), all children must be supervised.
*All scuba divers must be accompanied by at least one other diver and may not venture further than 100 yards offshore.
*Kite flying, frisbee, surfing, or any type of ball game is only allowed in designated areas on the beach.
*All local, State of Florida, and United States statutes apply.
