Welcome to Columbus G. McLeod Preserve in Fort Myers, Florida. This park was first established in 1999 and was named for an early 20th century Audubon Warden who was believed to have been murdered. Today this small preserve protects five different types of plant communities including hydric hammocks and tidal swamps. Some of the resident animals include blue herons, white ibises, and American alligators.
