Welcome to Florida's beautiful Avalon State Park located on the Atlantic coast near Fort Pierce. During World War II the navy used these beaches to help train new recruits. Ever since the mid-1990's it has been a popular state park. In more recent years it was damaged by Hurricane Francis in 2004 but much has been restored since then.
