Welcome to Florida's beautiful Ichetucknee Springs State Park, a place that has been a National Natural Landmark since the early 1970's. This place is a popular destination for water recreation year round whether it's tubing in the spring or summer or scuba diving year round. Some of the resident wildlife include raccoons, white-tailed deer, blue herons, and wild turkeys. One of the more unique features of this park is the historic Mission de San Martin de Timucua which was established in the early 17th century by Spanish explorers. In more recent times the land was mined for it's vast limestone deposits but became a state park in 1970.
