Welcome to John Mahon Nature Park in Gainesville, Florida. This park is named for Dr. John Mahon, a local resident who advocated for the presservation of Paines Prairie and other lands.

*Unless otherwise posted all parks open at 6:00 a.m. and close at 11:30 p.m.

*The following are prohibited; alcohol, defacing public property, harming wildlife, littering, weapons.

*The following are only allowed in designated areas; fires, golfing, motor vehicles, skating.

*All dogs must be leashed and waste removed.
