Jonathan Dickinson State Park

Welcome to Florida's Jonathan Dickinson State Park located where the Loxahatchee River meets the Atlantic Ocean. This protected wilderness helps protect 13 different types of ecological communities including wetlands and pine forests.

Boating: The park contains a concrete ramp but boats are limited to idle speed only. Canoe and kayak rentals are available inside the park.

Cabins: The park has 11 cabins all with bedrooms, bathrooms, and kitchens.  

Camping: The park has 90 campsites with electricity and water.

Picnicking: The picnic area is a scenic place along the Loxatachee River with dozens of tables and grills. Come out and bring some friends.

Swimming: There is a small swimming hole area along the river but there are no lifeguards on duty so please swim at your own risk.

Horseback riding: You do not have to bring your own horse. This park offers guided tours. There are even ponies for the kids.

Wildlife: This park protects the home of white-tailed deer, American alligators, manatees, gopher tortoises and over 150 species of birds making it a popular birding destination. Please treat their home with respect when visiting.
