Welcome to Florida's Windley Key Fossil Reef Geological State Park located in Islamorada. This park is the site of a former limestone quarry that played an important part in the Florida East Coast Railway which at one time ventured into the Florida Keys. Even after the railroad was finished the quarry was still in operation until the 1960's. Today the land has been restored to a state of nature and has trails just waiting to be explored.
