Welcome to Florida's Mike Roess Gold Head Branch State Park located between Gainesville and Jacksonville near the town of Keystone Heights. First established in 1935 this is one of Florida's oldest state parks. Many of the facilities were built by the Civilian Conservation Corps. A section of the Florida National Scenic Trail runs through the park. Mike Roess was the name of the man who donated the property to the state.
