Little Big Econ State Forest

Welcome to Little Big Econ State Forest located in Seminole County Florida not far from the Atlantic Coast. The forest's unique name comes the fact that both the Econlockhatchee River and Little Econlockhatchee River flow through the forest boundaries.
Forest History: The first crossing of the Econlockhatchee River was built within the present day forest boundaries when the Flagler Railroad built a bridge. Today that former railway is part of the Florida National Scenic Trail.
Wildlife: The Little Big Econ State Forest shares a border with the Tosohatchee State Preserve which connects to other public lands along the St. John's River forming a wildlife corridor over 100 miles long. Some of the wild animals that can be found here include river otters, white-tailed deer, bobcats, alligators, hawks, bald eagles, sandhill cranes, spoonbills, wood storks, and wild turkeys. Please treat their home with respect.
