Welcome to Florida's Lafayette Blue Springs State Park located on the banks of the Suwanee River near Mayo. The Suwanee River was a big steamboat corridor in the 19th century but the arrival of the railroads changed all that. This is one of Florida's newer state parks having only been first established in 2005. The springs themselves are a great swimming hole with clear clean water that is 72 degrees farenheit year round.
