Welcome to Lake Apopka North Shore Preserve in Florida. All the land that makes up this preserve was once part of Lake Apopka itself until a levy built in 1941 changed all of that. Many wild animals live in this preserve including bears, alligators, bobcats, and over 369 known species of birds making it a great place for bird-watching. Come out and explore the 20 mile mulitpurpose Lake Apopka Loop Trail.
