Lake Dan and Lake Francis Nature Preserve

Welcome to Lake Dan and Lake Francis Nature Preserve in Odessa, Florida. These 2 preserves are promarily composed of cypress swamp, freshwater marshes, mesic pine flatwoods, and wet prairie habitats with many miles of multipurpose trails just waiting to be explored.

These 2 preserves touch each other so they share a profile.

Hillsborough County Florida Park Ordinances

*Unless otherwise posted all parks open at dawn and close at dusk.

*The following are prohibited; alcoholic beverages, defacing public property, disorderly conduct, harming of wildlife, littering, paintball, sleeping.

*The following are only allowed in designated areas; bicycles, camping, fires, horseback riding, motor vehicles, organized athletic play.

*All animals must be leashed (no longer than 6 feet) and waste removed.
