Florida State Forests

Welcome to Florida's first State Forest, the Pine Log State Forest located in Bay and Washington Counties. This Forest was first purchased by the State of Florida in 1936.

Flora and Fauna: The swamps, flatwood forests, and sandhills of Pine Log State Forest help protect the home of numerous plant and animals species. Some of the plants that grow inside the forest boundaries include Chapman's crownbeards, milkweeds, and of course pine trees. Some of the wild animals who call this place home include squirrels, white-tailed deer, and gopher tortoises. Please treat their home with respect.

For the lover of the outdoors Pine Log State Forest boasts over 20 campsites, over 13 miles of multipurpose trails, and so much more. Come on out and explore!
